The first step in your home building experience is to figure out what your current home is worth and how to get you top dollar when selling it. Our experience realtors at J&J Custom Real Estate will walk you through this process including a comparative market analysis- what are homes like yours going for, what is your current estimated value, and then our experts will handle the sale and listing of your home as well.
There’s a time and place for surprises but building your dream home isn’t one of them. We want to eliminate as many unexpected factors that could arise in your home building process as possible, so we include a free site evaluation on your potential building site.
This lets us determine if your build site has any potential adversities and also create a verified cost breakdown for your potential dream home. Final home plans will be needed before a verified site cost breakdown can be completed.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, we don’t do cookie-cutter. You are unique and your needs and home should be unique as well. Your new home should feel like – well – your home. Now, for the fun part. This is where all the details of your home start to come to life. Each project will have a slightly different process and timeline for completion based on the needs of each homeowner. Our general construction timelines from start to finish is approximately 6 months. We believe communication is key, so prior to construction commencing you will have your personalized time estimate and will receive weekly updates from your project manager throughout your building experience.

Do I need to have my current home listed for sale before I start building my new home?
The short answer is no, you don’t but depending on your situation, you may have to sell your current home to finance your custom home build. Our family of companies includes J&J Custom Real Estate, and they will walk you through exactly how and when to list your home. We’re your one stop shop. Any repairs or remodeling work that is needed in regards to the sale of your home can be handled by J&J Contractors.
Moving… Where do I start?!
Once your project is past certain completion benchmarks, we are able to offer you a guaranteed move in date. This allows you to either find movers, or use our preferred vendors, for all your packing and heavy lifting needs.
